The BTR is a High-Powered, Ultrasonic Tank ideal for Ultrasonic Processing and Sonochemical Reaction Investigations.

Advanced Sonic Processing is pleased to introduce our Bench-Top-Reactors. These Ultrasonic Systems consist of a powerful Ultrasonic Tank with the Ultrasonic Generator located in a separate NEMA-1 cabinet (IP21). Standard Tank Styles available are:

The Bench-Top-Reactor, M/N: BTR-2109-HTR with Immersion Heater with our Adjustable Power Control Generator

The Bench-Top-Reactor is a high-powered ultrasonic tank effective for producing sonochemical reactions. The BTR can be filled with either your process solution or a coupling fluid. Different process solutions may be used to optimize ultrasonically enhanced extractions, fine particle deagglomeration and dispersions, and processes with sluggish liquid/solid interface dynamics. The process solution may even be a detergent for cleaning your glassware or other dirty items.

The BTR open top design allows the researcher to insert specialized reaction cells directly into the acoustically energized solution. The coupling fluid will couple the acoustic energy within the tank to the immersed reaction cell. Laboratory glassware or beakers are also effective in isolating the ultrasonically processed sample from the coupling fluid. This technique reduces the sample size required for each experiment when conducting broad scope investigations.

Bench-Top-Reactors with a Large Countertop

The Bench-Top-Reactor is built to rest on top of a Counter-Top or installed
Through-The-Countertop. A Through-The-Countertop installation is where you
cut a hole in the Work Bench counter top so the Tank's Upper Lip is relativity flush

Built for Counter-Top or Through-The-Countertop Installation

This Bench-Top-Reactor (BTR) has been built with a large extended countertop which covers the heater's housing. This is the design that my father had developed many years ago. They called the Bench-Top-Reactors "Separate Series" referring to the fact that the Ultrasonic Generator & Tank Console are separated, (aka SH Cleaners). We build the BTR with either the extended Counter Top (with a suffix of -CT), or our standard short counter top which mounts flush to the counter-top.

The BTCR-4 is a high-powered, temperature controlled, ultrasonic reactor ideal for Ultrasonic Processing and Sonochemical Reaction Investigations. High-Intensity Ultrasonic Energy is used to optimize acoustically enhanced extractions, nanoparticle synthesis, sonocrystallization, fine particle deagglomeration and processes with sluggish liquid/solid interface dynamics. The process solution may even be a detergent for cleaning glassware along with other soil removal applications.

The BTCR's open top design allows the researcher to insert specialized reaction cells directly into the acoustically energized solution. The process solution liquid temperature is controlled by our Water Cooled Coupling Block. This cooling method can be operated with either hot or cold heat transfer fluid with pressures up to 90 psig (6 Bar).

Most of the BTCR's are built without a drain valve to eliminate sample contamination. We can provide a Sanitary Drain Valve with a Sanitary Flanged Port (or NPT Threaded Port) as an Option. The Sanitary Flanged Port design is supplied with 3A plumbing connections to minimize possible sample contamination.

The Process Solution can be placed in direct contact with the BTCR's Tank. The Tank could also be filled with a coupling liquid so the acoustic energy will be coupled to an immersed reaction cell which holds the sample. Laboratory glassware, beakers or test tubes are very effective in isolating the ultrasonically processed sample from the coupling fluid. This technique reduces the sample size required for each experiment when conducting broad scope investigations.

Dual-Frequency Bench-Top-Reactors (DBTR)

Our Dual-Frequency Bench-Top-Reactor is ideal for maximizing the results delivered by ultrasonic energy for batch processes. We combine our Dual-Frequency Processing TechnologyTM with side mounted transducers in a Bench-Top-Reactor Tank Console to create a system that delivers a completely uniform energy profile within the processing chamber. This technique is ideal for demanding ultrasonic applications where speed and efficiency are critical.

 

 

This Dual-Frequency Bench-Top-Reactor M/N: DBTR-2812-HTR

This Dual-Frequency Bench-Top-Reactor M/N: DBTR-2812-HTR is a 3600 Watt Temperature Controlled Reactor with heating & cooling. The Ultrasonic Diaphragm Plates are the two long DBTR's side walls. The Dual-Frequency arrangement creates a uniformly energized reaction chamber between the respective Diaphragm Plates. The combination of multiple frequencies opposing each other, eliminates standing waves within the acoustically energized cavity.

Our Dual-Frequency Bench-Top-Reactors are built to provide maintenance free and continuous operation with a 100% duty cycle.

These systems will handle large volumes of material for many years without degradation to the ultrasonic processing performance.

The Dual-Frequency design allows the system to be scaled up to meet your processing demands without compromising performance or operational longevity.

Custom Built Bench-Top-Reactor, M/N: BTR-1111-TCC

 

This Custom Built Bench-Top-Reactor, M/N: BTR-1111-TCC, is a low temperature Cleaner shown with our APC Generator. This BTR is driven at 1200 Watts and has a Tank Opening of 10.5" x 10.5" x 25" deep, (liquid capacity at 21" liquid depth is 10 gallons, or 37.8 liters). The system has been built with Water Cooled Coupling Blocks silver-brazed between the transducer and the Tank's Bottom surface (thus the suffix -TCC). Our Thermal Controlled Core technology allows us to build a high power system for acoustically activating an alcohol base cleaning solution.

The tank can be positioned on top of your processing bench, or suspended by the 1 Â" wide Lip located on the Countertop's perimeter. For rolling mobile installations, the BTR can be placed on top of a wheeled cart.

This system is supplied with our Adjustable Power Control Generator which is mounted in a separate NEMA-1 (IP21), air cooled generator enclosure.
For some applications requiring a high degree of cleanliness, we build the Bench-Top-Reactor without an Immersion Heater Alcove nor Drain Valve. These ports can be difficult to keep clean thus they are eliminated to maintain overall process cleanliness.
